With the stunning National Park (a World Heritage site) and the spacious Solway Coast, with AONB’s (areas of outstanding national beauty) on both sides of us; you will be best placed to make the most of England’s hidden gems.
Right in the heart of Cumbria: it’s the perfect spot to get out and about and see the Lake District, Solway Firth and Hadrian’s Wall.
Nearby towns (in driving times)-
Aspatria: 7 minutes (including railway station on West Cost branch line).
Cockermouth: 15 minutes (traditional market town, also with good choice of supermarkets/cafes etc.).
Keswick: 25-30 minutes (tourist attraction and centre of the North Lakes, including Derwent Water and Boat Trips).
Maryport: 15 minutes (seaside town, marina and aquarium with excellent seaside promenade).
Carlisle: 35-40 minutes (nearest city and main train line- gateway to the Scottish Borders).
Ambleside/Bowness-on-Windermere: 60-80 minutes.
