Salkeld Cumbrian Cottage for 2
This beautiful Cumbrian Cottage has an open fire, four poster bed and bat/shower/steam room; it’s perfect for peaceful holidays and romantic breaks.
This 4* holiday cottage boasts a larger living and dining area than our Dykes cottage and an en-suite bathroom upstairs.
All cottages come with free Wi-Fi and ample parking.
Luxury additions in this beautiful Cumbrian Cottage are an open fire, four poster bed and bath/shower/steam cubicle.
Although slightly smaller than our Salkeld cottage its equally intimate. The property benefits from a ground floor bathroom, incorporating a shower/bath and steam cubicle. There is a little balcony immediately outside the bedroom so you can take in the fresh Cumbrian air. As with all our Cumbrian cottages the storage heating is included in the price.
This cottage is a real favorite of returning guests, honeymoons and anniversaries.
Parlour Cumbrian Cottage for 2
This is the largest of the stables cottages, it has a four poster bed and a Swedish designed log burner. The bathroom boasts a large hydro-therapy shower cubicle with seat.
The lounge and kitchen area is spacious and bright, with large windows and french doors over looking Cumbrian green pastures.
Hayloft Cumbrian Cottage for 2
The bightest and most modern of our four stables cottages it’s perfect for those special occasions, or guests simply requiring a pied-a-terre with all the comforts, from which to explore the area. It is also ideal for those looking for dog friendly breaks , with walks from the door, the Solway Firth and Western Lake District nearby.
En-suite bath with double hydrotherapy steam shower and fully fitted kitchen. Sumptuous sofa, large smart/4K TV and flame effect log fire.
Stables Cumbrian Cottage 3 and 4 (all sleep only two people)
The Stables Cumbrian Cottages have been converted from original stone built stables, hayloft and milking parlour. Each cottage still has the stable door entrance (with shutter doors) and the upper hayloft opening is now a French window affording views over the courtyard to open farmland, letting in light and fresh air, and giving access to the shared balcony. All have the bedrooms on the ground floor and the living accommodation upstairs to make the most of the morning light through the french windows which lead out onto a shared balcony.
Each Cumbrian cottage is “upside down”, with the double bedroom and en-suite shower room on the ground floor, the living room with kitchen and dining area above. Cosy and warm for the winter months with an electric flame effect stove.
All of our self catering Cumbrian cottages sleep two people. All the properties sleep exactly two people and we cannot host children.
There’s something so very important about having quality time with your partner. What better way than a short break or rewarding holiday in one of our Cumbrian cottages exclusively for two people. A perfect romantic getaway.
